FeatherFlights Beginning Chap. 1

FeatherFlight's Born...
"She's smaller than her brothers, HardWing."
 HardWing cringed, "She'll grow WaterFlight."
Her brothers { BeakHeart, and PeckFish } Stared down at her, "Mum", PeckFish said,"Theres never been a hatchling THAT small."
"Well now there has", she replied defensibly.
HardWing fluttered to the entrance of the TreeNest and beckoned Beakheart over. He pointed over the horizon and pecked, "Tell WaterFlight there is no room for weak hatchlings, we must drop her off at Aunt BranchWorm's, she may raise her as her own."
BeakHeart stubbornly tapped his foot, "But she is our sister, not even but a hour old, she could grow."
HardWing nodded, "Your right give it 2 months, then we will see."
So they did, they gave sweet FeatherFlight 2 months, and she didn't grow a inch.

About a week into spring WaterFlight let PeckFish bring FeatherFlight to sweet Aunt BranchWorm, a terrible mistake really. For Aunt BranchWorm was no where near the likes of the word "Sweet". In fact, she tortured birds, testing her mysterious spells on them. You see, BranchWorm used special herbs to create potions that either messed up, or helped a bird. Usually messed up. And to make it worse, she enjoyed "The show" when they didn't work. By the show we either mean, them going insane and falling to there death, or some other weird way of dying. BranchWorm was a master of disguise, she showed up at random tree nests and asked for un-wanted hatchlings! Creepy huh? She would dress as a nice, old bird who wanted to help. If the parents refused she usually snuck in at night and snatched the eggs, then sat on them as her own. When she found out that WaterFlight was willingly giving up her 3rd hatchling, she was ecstatic, another egg to test on, she figured. But FeatherFlight was smarter than most birds. The day FeatherFlight was dropped off she could tell BranchWorm was a nutcase. The whole Nest was full of weird plants and piles of feathers. The entrance was fairly decent, but once you really got inside, all you could see was plants! FeatherFlight fluttered to her room, very self consciously, and to her surprise met some other Crows.
"Hello." One mumbled almost silently. He was lean and tall with wings like a owls.
"Um, hey? Why are you here...?" she questioned.
"I live here, well until my testing...if I live."
"Testing?", FeatherFlight questioned.
"BranchWorm, you know, the evil witch who tests her creepy potions on innocent birds?"  FeatherFlight was even more confused, "Evil?"
